Welcome to The Here and There Life. I’m Sophie—a mom, a wife, a storyteller—and someone who believes that life is meant to be lived fully: across places, phases, and everything in between.
My path hasn’t been linear. I’ve rebuilt, rerouted, and reimagined what love, motherhood, and home can look like. From navigating long-distance love to solo parenting during seasons apart, I’m learning to hold both adventure and stillness with an open heart.
This space was born from that duality—of movement and grounding, dreaming and mothering. It’s about infusing our everyday with wonder, whether through travel, culture, or small rituals that make the ordinary feel magical.
Here, you’ll find stories about traveling with kids, reflections on identity and parenting, and ways to bring softness, beauty, and intention into your days. You don’t need a plane ticket to feel alive—you just need to stay curious.
Let’s grow, explore, and find the magic—here, there, and everywhere in between.

Was Peru your first big adventure?
What kind of life are you building?
Where’s “here” and where’s “there,?
I am from Québec. My husband’s from Peru. Our daughter was born somewhere in between—emotionally, at least. We live a life stretched across time zones, languages, and lots of airport snacks.
One where motherhood, travel, and personal dreams can coexist—even in the chaos. I’m not trying to balance it all perfectly. I’m just trying to live with heart, stay curious, and leave space for magic—wherever we are.
Nope. But it definitely kickstarted the biggest one of my life—after I met my husband in a park in Lima.
I’ve always been drawn to elsewhere. Australia was one of my first long-haul leaps, and I guess you could say I’ve been chasing that feeling ever since.
There will be typos and weird wording here and there! That's because my brain works in multi languages and they all want to come out at once !
